End of Vacation

Parker wanted to hold Cannon by herself and he was none too happy about it. He did his best to wiggle away.
Two sweet babies hanging out at the house.
Parker was just completely tuckered out after a full fun week at the beach and a loooooooooong car ride all the way home.

More Beach Days

More pics from the beach. Once again, Parker just loved the sand this year.
Parker and Vivy Mooney. Vivy is the daughter of one of my best friends from Ole Miss, Lyndsey Bolen Mooney. It is her family's beach house where we stay every year. Parker kept telling us that Vivy was her best friend. They are so cute.
"YaYa Julia", another one of my best friends from Ole Miss brought the girls princess dresses to wear. They LOVED them. I'm sure that Parker was trying to convince Vivy to put hers on.

Beach Days

The beach was wonderful. During the week there was rarely anyone there and we basically had a whole stretch all to ourselves. This year, Parker loved the sand and would play and play in it. She was pretty good at keeping her hat on as long as it was too extremely windy and blowing it off. Then it just wasn't worth the trouble to her.

Cannon also went out to the beach for a few days. Obviously he stayed in the shade. He didn't really like his hat. I think that it made him hot. He is very hot natured to begin with. We tried to get him to wear it as much as possible but sometimes he just wasn't having it. He was relatively content at the beach but he didn't just sleep and sleep like some people have told me he would. He was tolerable but once again, I think that he was just hot some of the time.

Parker loved to get out in the ocean. Matt and I took turns taking her out to jump waves and splash around. The ocean is really not my thing. I love the beach but the ocean seems a little icky. I don't like for things to brush up against my legs and I have issues with jellyfish.

Cannon with a hat on-- yeaaaa! Still chillin' in the shade.

Sometimes Parker would put her lifejacket on so she could swim "by herself." It's just like the pool. She totally think sthat she can do it all by herself. She bobs in and out of the water and swallows salt water right and left, giggling and squealing the whole time.

Vacation Days- Parker

We went to the beach for vacation and we had a few days before the rest of our group arrived. So , we decided to head down to Pier Park and go shopping and play around for the afternoon. Parker had been asking all day to ride the carousel and so at the end of the day, we finally did. She loved it but kept telling Matt that he needed to be sure to hold on tight. She didn't want him to fall off. After the carousel, we headed to the ice cream place to have a scoop. Parker chose Nutter Butter which was by far, the best choice. Mine and Matt's was OK but hers was delicious. Not so good at eating off the cone though, We ended up having to dump it into a cup and go from there. I'll bet that Cannon wished that he could have ice cream too. Later that night, we headed to our favorite redneck oyster bar to have dinner. We managed to entertain ourselves listening to the super loud music from the jukebox and making funny faces. The food is sooooo fried and soooo delicious. Cannon ended up sleeping the whole time b/c we just really had a big day and I think that the music was just too much for him. This is just another picture of Miss Priss from the vacation. She was playing golf but managed to stop long enough for me to snap a shot of her with my phone. The humidity and salt water air made her hair sooooo curly.

Last Days of Summer

Parker loves the pool. I hate that we didn't get to go as much this year as I would've liked. She is sooooo independent and totally thinks that she can swim without assistance, even though her mouth bobs in and out of the water. She giggles the whole time. We went to a couple of Travelers' games this summer and Parker loves to go. She could really care less about the game but she loves going to play on the blowups. She will even go down the big blowup slides that mainly the big kids go down. Cannon has been pretty chill all summer and is still pretty portable. He'll be pretty content no matter where we go. He just hangs out and likes to be held so that he can look around. Poor thing has been so many different places this summer that I know he's so tired of that car seat.
